Le Monde : Angela Merkel : "Le débat sur l'euro en France m'inquiète"
L'existence de l'euro est liée à une décision commune que nous avons prise : avoir une Banque centrale indépendante. Il faut faire attention à ce que nos difficultés - l'adaptation à la mondialisation, les réformes à faire, les problèmes sociaux à résoudre - ne soient pas mises de manière injuste sur le dos de l'euro. C'est une monnaie très dure, car elle laisse apparaître de manière très tranchée là où un pays est compétitif et là où il peut avoir des problèmes.
